Getting Started on Behance: How to Build, Share, and Grow Your Creative Career
Behance is a foundational building block for your creative career. Whether you’re just starting out after school or looking to advance your career to earn more, Behance has all the tools you need to promote your skills, build your network, and open the door to new opportunities.
Here are 8 things every creative should do to make the most of Behance and kickstart their creative journey.
1. Find Inspiration From Expert-Curated Galleries
Tens of thousands of creative projects are uploaded to Behance every single day, making Behance the ultimate destination for creative inspiration. From these, our team of in-house curators hand select the best and most inspiring work to feature in our curated galleries.
There are over 120 curated galleries dedicated to every imaginable creative discipline, as well as galleries for projects made with Adobe tools, from Photoshop to the Substance family. Follow any gallery to get relevant projects directly in your home feed.

2. Curate Your Own Moodboard
Gather and organize inspiration from the diverse creative work on Behance by creating moodboards. Click the Save icon on the right hand side of any project to add it to a moodboard. To save individual images, hover over the image in the project and click the Save icon. At the bottom of your moodboard, you’ll see suggested ideas so you can quickly build on your ideas. You can also invite other Behance members to your moodboard for easy collaboration.
3. Craft a Portfolio of Your Best Work
Your portfolio is the most powerful tool as a creative. Create a Behance project to showcase your best work to potential clients and collaborators. Our project editor is a blank canvas for you to build strong and polished case studies, from ideation to the completed artwork.
We recommend including at minimum 5 high resolution images that show the full breadth of your work, as well as a concise written description about the project, the client, and your process. Seasoned Behance members like designer Anastasia Statsenko advise having a cohesive visual flow to your project and using high quality mock ups to bring your designs to life.
